Dr Ramez Zaklama is a Sydney based anaesthetist who graduated from Monash University with Honours, receiving the Prestigious Scholarship for Excellence throughout his medical degree. He completed his specialist anaesthetic training at leading tertiary centres including Westmead Hospital, The Children’s Hospital at Westmead, and Coffs Harbour Health Campus. During this time, he was awarded Senior Resident Medical Officer of the Year and the Westmead Association Humanitarian Aid Scholarship in recognition of his clinical excellence and international aid work.
Dr Zaklama completed an advanced subspecialty fellowship in regional anaesthesia, with particular expertise in ultrasound guided nerve blocks to enhance recovery and reduce post operative pain. He has contributed to multiple peer reviewed publications and presented at national conferences. He is dedicated to providing a calm, personalised anaesthetic experience, with a strong focus on patient comfort, safety, and optimising surgical outcomes. Outside of medicine, he is an avid tennis fan and hopes to one day attend all four Grand Slam tournaments.
