As the Nurse Practitioner Sydney Gut Clinic, Antoinette works collaboratively as part of the interdisciplinary team. With her significant knowledge, extensive clinical experience in gastroenterology, and advanced research skills, Antoinette helps our patients achieve excellent clinical outcomes and reach their health goals.
Prior to joining the Sydney Gut Clinic, Antoinette held the dual role of Nurse Practitioner and Therapeutics Department Manager at the Centre for Digestive Diseases, Sydney. During her 15-year tenure, Antoinette developed a particular interest in the gut microbiome and was involved in complex case management of patients, policy and strategy design, and co-authored and published numerous research papers.
Before moving to Sydney, Antoinette held nursing roles in Brisbane, London and Singapore. Of note during these years was her time at the National University Hospital, Singapore where she was a Nurse Clinician in Infection Control and a Nurse Manager in the Intensive Care Unit. Here, Antoinette worked as part of the SARS epidemic healthcare response, for which she was awarded the Singaporean Presidential Courage Star award.
Antoinette is committed to continued educational advancement. Her qualifications include a Master of Nursing – Nurse Practitioner from University of Sydney (USyd), a Master of Nursing – Nursing Leadership from the Australian Catholic University (ACU), a Bachelor of Nursing from ACU and a Graduate Certificate in Clinical Nursing from USyd. Antoinette is a Member of the Australian College of Nurse Practitioners.
