Are you experiencing abdominal pain ?
Abdominal pain can range from mild discomfort to severe cramping — and it’s often your body’s way of signalling that something isn’t right. Whether it’s occasional pain after meals or ongoing discomfort, our specialists at Sydney Gut Clinic can help identify the underlying cause. With advanced diagnostic tools and expert care, we’ll work with you to find relief and restore your digestive health.
A symptom is something you feel. As a patient you may also refer to things you can see, this is technically referred to as a sign, however in the context of this page, we have grouped these under symptoms. Conditions and symptoms (or signs) are sometimes confused as they are all related to an ailment. Usually patients present to their doctor speaking about their symptoms, a doctor then pieces this information together with tests, investigations, scans and so on to determine your diagnosis – or underlying condition. The condition is then treated and in turn, symptoms should begin to subside.
Common Gastrointestinal Symptoms
We know experiencing uncomfortable or unexplained symptoms can be worrying. At Sydney Gut Clinic, our specialists are here to help identify the cause and guide you toward relief.
Here’s what you should know:
- Symptoms are what you feel — like pain, bloating, or fatigue.
- Signs are what you see — such as swelling or discoloration.
- Conditions are the underlying issues causing these symptoms.
- Your doctor uses your symptoms, along with tests and scans, to make a diagnosis and recommend the right treatment.
If you’re experiencing any of the symptoms listed below, it’s important to consult your GP or book an appointment with one of our specialist Gastroenterologists.
